Nope, They're Not Responsible Enough

Little Miss is feeling better today - finally! In fact, she was doing her usual climbing and jumping this morning. We have a mini-jumper, which is basically a small square trampoline that has a curved handle in front for children to hold onto when they're jumping.

Unless you're Little Miss. Today, she was using the handle as a gym bar to do flips on. I walked in to see her just about hit her head on the wall and she was going over. I suggested that she move the mini-jumper away from the wall, and shockingly she agreed. Nicely, even.

Me: And Little Miss, I don't think it's a good idea for you to do flips on the mini-jumper unless there's an adult here to watch you.
Little Miss: Ok.
Me: That means you need to have a mommy or a daddy or a grandma or a grandpa in the room with you if you want to do flips. Do you understand.
Little Miss: Or an aunt.
Me: Well, yes. If Auntie Megan is here, she can watch you, too.
Little Miss: Yep, but nooooooooooot a bur-gur-lur.
Me: Well, no. No, you wouldn't want to be doing flips on the mini-jumper if a burglar were in the house. You're right.

Where she gets these ideas, I just don't know.

LOL! Well at least you know she has the rules down. She sounds like a little daredevil! Glad she's feeling better!

Kids always seem to get the last word these days :) They are trying to outwit us all the time. It's cute how she keeps the conversation going. So glad that she feels better. Sounds like you have a potential gymnast in your house!!

Yeah, you just can't seem to count on those burgurlurs for their babysitting skills. :) Too funny!

How funny! At least she knows that burglars are not to be entertained. LOL!

I don't know. Maybe she could distract him with her talents so that you could call 911.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Since we found out about our baby's dairy allergy I can't believe how many people we have found that have this issue. We stumbled across it in a very odd way, actually. He never did like cow milk much anyway. When we gave him milk we would take a sip and trow the cup, he hated it. That should have been a clue. He still had a lot of spit up for his age, but not full on vomiting. I could tell something was off, but not sure what. He never had much of an apitie and acted like his tummy hurt. He wanted to eat, but would take a few bites and start whinning and stop eating, only to be fussy and unsatified. We actually used foot zoning to find out about his allergies. If you have never heard of it, it sounds crazy, but I can't believe how accurate it was, not only with dietary issues, but many other things as well. You'll have to study more about it. Since we have taken him off dairy and wheat he is a new baby. He has an apitite and wants to eat all day long. I am hopeful he will satrt growing now. Sorry this is a book, but I hope it helps!

LOL where do they get that stuff?!

MaBunny - If only I remembered half of what they say. I'm constantly cracking up....

Melissa - Yes, most of the time. She at least KNOWS the rules, even if she doesn't follow them.

Musings of the Mrs. - Oh! I did? Cool! I'm so far behind in my blog reading. I am ALMOST to that post, so YAY! And thanks for letting me know :)

septembermom - I SO have a potential gymnast. She's incredibly strong and always has been. BUT she goes to preschool 5 mornings a week, and for her age, gymnastics is only in the morning. This summer, she's going back in!

morninglight mama - And they don't come cheap either!

Angie - True. Now we need to teach the cats....

Karen - She would definitely be distracting. My theory is just to keep the burglars out of our house altogether though.

Dreamer - Oh now I have to go look up foot zoning. I'm intrigued!

Roxane - I don't know, but there is ALWAYS something. Did you see the Jesus getting beat up by Hulk picture from the other day?

ahhh... but very smart! How cute.

Vanessa - You say smart, I say paranoid :) But yeah it was cute, wasn't it?

It does give one pause when you hear such things!! Very cute!

Betty - Yep, the wee ones make me think alll the time. Sometimes mean thoughts, but I'm still thinking ;)
