Hello? Spring? Hello?
There are some things that will ensure I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, the day off to a bad start before it's even begun.
Stepping into a pile of cold cat vomit
A child running into my room to announce an illness
My husband's alarm clock that he snoozed now going off loudly and repeatedly since he's gotten up and left the house
Realizing that it's a cleaning lady day and I haven't done a thing about it
You get the point. Then there's today. April 18. April, people!
I know I say this every year, but really spring? Can we not get our act together anymore? I'd like a redo.
The silver lining is that not everyone in my household feels quite the same. Some, in fact, managed to get up and ready for school early so that they could play outside in the snow before we had to leave.
Good thing I'd been procrastinating on putting away their winter gear. (hey - this snow was not my fault!)
And ahhhh yes, that is Little Miss actually leaning over on the grass to lick the snow. I have a very odd child. A very odd one. But she makes me giggle - even this morning!

Had the same initial reaction as you did this morning, lady. But I had little ones to cheer me up, too. :) Such cute pictures of your kiddos loving whatever God gives us.
Licking the snow??? That's too funny! She's a keeper!
It's so odd to me that here in Indiana we had 70 degree weather while you had snow. WHAT the WHAT?!
That's okay though- to make you feel better, we're about to get hit with severe storms. So no enjoying that weather!
I know!!! What is up with this???
Incredible weather. It is fun to see one's kids having fun in the snow, though. It's a good thing you still had their snow clothes handy!
Speaking of incredible weather--how horrible for people in the southeast with all those tornadoes yesterday (or was it Sunday?).
Hy - It's amazing how the littles do such a great job of finding the joy in any moment, isn't it?
Kelly - Yes, she is actually licking the snow. Sometimes, I just don't know about her :)
Heather - Thanks for letting me know about the 70 degrees. I needed that. Someday spring will return!
Susie - I think someone upset Mother Nature. I'm just hoping it's not something *I* did.
Pat - Good point. I complain about a little snow, but I'd much rather have that than the destructive weather other places got. I really feel for them.
I love snow, but also love that I don't have to deal with it! When we want to see it we drive two hours, play for a bit, then head home. I would be pretty pissed at Mother Nature to get an extra dose of snow in spring! I hope it clears up quickly and your spring arrives full blast. And I totally agree with you on the cat vomit thing.
Laural - Well YEAH I love snow *then* ;) Fortunately the snow is gone now, but it is still pretty cold and nasty. I'm ready for real spring!
That's pretty impressive--to have kids who aren't yet sick of it. Sweet. Our 8 inches from Wednesday is almost gone, thank goodness! :)
