I Feel Better Already

It's that time of year. I got a call from our carpooling mate tonight saying that she was keeping her daughter home because she was sick. The flu shots are everywhere. And I'm curled up on the couch with two pairs of socks, two layers of sweatshirts, and a blanket over me.

Mister Man asked what was wrong, and I told him that I wasn't feeling too well. He looked at me seriously and said that he knew how to make me feel better.

Really, Kiddo? How can you make me feel better?

All you need to do is have someone not you pray for you.

Ahhhh, that's a good point. Will you pray for me, Mister Man?

Yeah! Sure I will, Mommy.

Can I hear what it sounds like when you pray for me?

Ok. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. He very seriously and slowly did the sign of the cross on his own, folded his hands, and looked to the sky.

Dear Lord, Please help my mommy to feel better really soon. Thank you. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Song, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

While my cold may not be gone, I somehow feel so much better anyway.

I hope you feel better soon. With Mister Man pulling for you, what better hands could you be in?

How sweet and wonderful. You have much reason to be proud.

Its nice when kids learn that there is something bigger than us out there in the world!
When Nicole was around that age we saw a beautiful cross atop a church - my mom pointed it out - Nicole responded with yeah Grandma, just like the one Jesus died on...

That absolutely warms my heart. You're raising lovely little ones. I hope is always that quick to take his requests to God. Hope you feel better soon!

If I were feeling sick right now, this post would have made me feel better. What a sweetie. "...of the song..." :)

He is the sweetest! What a lovely moment. Mister Man's prayer was wonderful. Hope you feel better soon, Michelle :)

That touched my heart. What a sweet, thoughtful little boy he is. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Concise and to the point. You are lucky to have him praying for you.

What a sweetheart! I bet his prayer did help you feel better.

Karen - It is... even if we don't always get exactly what we ask for in the way we ask for it.

Carol Lynn - Me, too. Today was ok, but I'm definitely not 100% or close. I'm fine blowing off work tomorrow if needed, but I have two PTO meetings, carpool pickup, language group, and a fundraiser on Wednesday that I need to be at. In top form.

WeaselMomma - Yeah... I'm feeling better and better about my school choice, although I know that's only a part of it.

MaBunny - I love it! The innocence of how the words come out is just perfect.

Hyacynth - Thanks :) And I hope he is, too.

RAS - Save it up and come back to visit when you get sick. Errr IF you get sick, I mean.

Kelly - Isn't he though ;) It brought tears to my eyes. Almost.

Pat - Thank you. Trust me, there are plenty of moments when he isn't sweet or thoughtful, but I like to remember the moments when he is!

Unknown Mami - Aren't I? I was so impressed!

Tara - It did. I still climbed onto the couch and under a blanket, but I felt better.

Short, sweet and to the point! I like that kind of prayer :)

SO Sweet. It's always nice to feel the love in those little moments.

Roxane - Me, too. Especially when I'm in the middle of what has been a very long church service ;)

Melisa - Absolutely. I'm all for feeling the love. It's one thing I hope never changes!
