I went grocery shopping yesterday and was running late to a meeting by the time I walked in the door. I needed to change before leaving again. As I walked quickly through the kitchen, I asked my husband to bring in the groceries from the back seat of my car and deal with them as I needed to leave.
When I arrived home hours later, I discovered this.
The milk and turkey bacon were put in the fridge. I'll give him that, but both reusable bags and the Costco box still contained the majority of their groceries. Apparently I need to be more specific next time. I should know that after this many years of marriage, shouldn’t I?

I cannot help but laugh. This is so "male"! I can hear Mark Gungor in his "Ask More Than Once" video as I look at your photograph. Look him up on YouTube - I think you'll get a huge chuckle out of it!
Mine would have done exactly the same thing. And has, on occasion. I usually get even by leaving them there for however long it takes!
We could be living in the same house, my friend. The same.exact.house.
This affliction seems to be an epidemic.
This is why I love him.
Sometimes I wish I were a man.
Visiting from Writers Workshop.
I guess i have hubby trained pretty well cause he will go through every bag to make sure no perishables are left out and he might add a can or two just incase.
Visting from Writer's Workshop and have to say that the picture is something happens all of the time with EVERYTHING! He's a leave everything everywhere. I feel your pain.
I'm sorry that I'm laughing a bit too. We all need to run a training camp for our husbands sometimes!
Sharon - Ohhh it is very male. And Mark Gungor, huh? I may have to go check that out.
Angela - I was going to (I've done that before), but I actually needed some of the items in the bags ... and the counter space to cook.
Hyacynth - Yeah, but if you and I lived in the same house, think of how neat and organized it would be!
WeaselMomma - What, you mean you have this happen in your house, too?
Don - Men. You always stick together :)
Unknown Mami - Me, too! Fortunately, only sometimes.
Heather - Well, mine did get the perishables (except the grapes) out. I'll grant him that. But how sad is it that well-trained means only the things in dire need are put away?
Candice - Yep! When my husband went to Vegas for a few days this summer, it was amazing how things I used were still there when I went to get them later :)
Kelly - I like this idea. Let me know when the next training camp is, and I'll sign my husband up!
Yes indeed, some men need very specific directions! At least he put the perishables in the fridge.
Pat - True. I suppose I ought to give him that. There was a time when they'd still have been in my car....
haha this is too funny. i totally know where you're coming from...only i've been with my mister for only 1 and a half years! so i guess i know that this is how it'll be 10 years from now! haha

OMG mine does this too. Makes me crazy. JU
Kendall - Oh just wait... there's lots more fun. I remember how different things are now from where they were a year and a half in. But it's all good. Ok, mostly good ;)
Jen - Why does this not surprise me? Both that he'd do it, and that it would drive you crazy.
Oy vey. That is all.
Melisa - Ummmm are you trying to tell me your husband doesn't do this? *sigh*
