With Little Miss in her dual language program, it's been interesting to see what comes home. Since it's all in Spanish for her right now, she doesn't understand a ton, and well I don't either. I've heard from others that it's rough until around November but the kids pick it up somehow then.

I can only hope.

In the meantime, I can see that they're working on learning important vocabulary and on certain units. Family was this week's theme, and each child created puppets of all the people in the family.

Little Miss created one for herself.

And one for Mister Man.

And one for me.

And one for my husband.

My husband wasn't thrilled. I'm still laughing - apparently Little Miss sees him as having a massive melon head. And no hair. My husband keeps insisting that he still has some hair - and I suppose he does. For now.

Ha! I remember doing one of these as a kid and apparently I thought my dad was really fat. He teased me about that for years.

Love the dual language class. I wish I had that in school.

Cheers, jj

Love his puppet! Hair is over rated anyway. It's that big smile that counts!

She is in a Spanish class? How very cool!

I love it! Tell him that she thinks he is very, very smart :) Spanish class is so cool for LM at this young age.

Gosh, it's almost realistically sized!

It's because he's so smart... right?

Totally just giggled outloud at that last picture. Love the pictures our children "gift" us with.

At least Big Head was sporting enough to let you take a snap shot!

Joanna - Oh I wish I'd had that, too. I love that she'll be fully bilingual!

Mary - Mmmm no, I hate to say it, but hair isn't overrated ;) But he does have a bit more than Little Miss showed.

Kelly - Yes, so smart that his head is a giant melon. I'm not sure he'll buy that...

Karen - Ummm if by realistically sized you mean the size of his true head, I'll buy it. Otherwise, I'm telling him you insulted him and laughing till I get the hiccups.

Tara - Ummm yes. Yes, that's it exactly.

Hyacynth - Me, too. Although she is now claiming that she DID draw hair but accidentally cut it off when cutting out the puppet. That still doesn't explain melon head though.

WeaselMomma - He was. He didn't/doesn't know I posted it online, but he was at least a good sport for that.

I love kids' drawings! I'm glad Little Miss included you this time as part of her family. Your hubby still has plenty of hair!

Pat - I'm also thrilled to be included this time :) Those drawing are awesome. I have some that I am definitely saving for a very long time!
