I'm Becoming Me Again

Today: ran, read, wrote.
Frequently doing my choice,
at home, loving it.

The wee ones are fed.
We play and have fun and work,
getting used to Mom.

Commitments are met;
my inbox unread are down.
Piles are decreasing.

I went out to eat.
I feel like I have friends again.
Next: Mani pedi?

I'm into Week Two of my leave of absence, and I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by. While I'm not getting nearly done what I thought I would (outgrown clothes are still unsorted, I haven't packed the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt, and my filing hasn't been touched), I've been cooking dinner each night and playing with the wee ones, getting to the gym, feeling mostly caught up with the PTO, and I think I'm less crabby.

May 24 is coming up really quickly. Here's hoping I'm ready for it!

  1. Oh Michelle! I love that you are enjoying yourself. Do you have to decide by May 24th whether you are returning to work? What a choice you have before you hunh?

  4. Oh, you are ready for it. Summer time is the best with the kids. I'm working on finding money and then time for the wolves game.

  7. Yay, Michelle! Isn't it great when life isn't such a rat race?! That's what I like best about being retired. I can be as busy or as un-busy as I want doing what I want to do. I know, of course you're not retired, but at least now you're not doing two full-time jobs.

  8. Laura - May 24 is my return to work date. Soooo I have to have things figured out by then, technically.

Unknown Mami - It already is. I can't believe two weeks are already done!

Stacey - Oh, I am. Lots of work and getting things done (I ran out of room in my to do list), but it's good.

WeaselMomma - Except that technically summer is when I'm supposed to be back at work :) And hey - Wolves games... what about the $9 tickets? ;)

Kelly - I'm still figuring out what the game is, how can I be on top of it? ;)

Hyacynth - Oh absolutely! Let's make some time - it's going to fly quickly.

Pat - It is nice to avoid some of the rat race. I'm generally still running, but it's more rewarding things for the most part.

  9. Just enjoy it NOW and don't worry about 5/24. It's better that way. :)
