How I Met My Husband

Oh I love stories of true love and how people met the loves of their lives.  And ok, who doesn't love a bad date story, too?  This week's #VlogMom prompt comes from Alissa Enders of Clever Compass.  She's a romantic.

She wants to know: How did you meet your spouse/partner?

It's a good question, no?  I know you have to have some great stories.  So... learn how I met my husband, and then tell me how you met yours!

GORGEOUS. :)

Good story. I need to hear the private version.

Darn... I was so hoping for the "private" story! But, wow, what a great "meet-cute" story. Good thing your friend never showed!

I love how you used air quotes to describe how he wanted to "wait with you." Not so bad being stood up by the other friend, eh? :)

Are you still friends with the friend who didn't show up?

My husband and I met in a graduate level math class at UC Davis, but he was married. I only knew him as another student in the class. Four years later, out of the blue, he called me up and asked if he could go with me to the church I attended at the time. His wife had left him for another man (and she was pregnant by another guy). We did go to church together and a year later we were married.

Melisa - You're silly. But you make me smile, so it's all good :)

Kelli - I know. Gotta love something working out when friends flake. How often does that happen?

Stacey - Oh you should see me talk. I may not really be Italian, but I am a hand talker. Air quotes are my friend.

Pat - No... but not because she didn't show up. She ended up going to work for a different company, and we lived far from each other. I got married and she's still single and we just drifted. I love your story. I'm so impressed that four years later Jerry found you!

I use my hands a lot as well - and I only married an Italian - LOL The thumbnails love to catch me with my hands in weird positions too.

So this public version is good too. :)
