Mommy Love

My husband came home from the store where he had taken Mister Man to relay this. If only I'd been there.

Pssst. Psst, Daddy! That lady asked that little girl who had the best mommy ever, and the little girl said she did, but that's not true! I have the best mommy ever. She's wrong!

I can only hope he feels the same way five, ten, fifteen years from now. Thanks, Mister Man. I love you, and you're the greatest kid ever!

That's so sweet! I hope my kids feel that way about me.

So sweet! Your Mister Man will always think he has the best mom. Imagine what a mess we will all be when we have to do that mother/son dance at our sons' weddings?

Oh, How sweet!

I just love little kids and their love for their mommies. It's so intense. Makes all the not-so-nice things worthwhile, doesn't it?

Ah! Serious melting of my heart right now - that is the sweetest thing ever and something you will never ever forget!

My kids (10 & 12) still tell me that, but they usually want something within seconds of the comments. I'll still take them though.

Heather - I know... and it TOTALLY took me by surprise. Talk about warm fuzzies :)

Roxane - Doesn't it though? Such a sweet kid. Who's so going to get beat up throughout his school years.

septembermom - Would it shock you if he's already chosen the song he's going to dance to? It's the Hawaiian version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow that was also the first dance song at my wedding.

Cookie - Yup. Can I just skip the teen years?

Hyacynth - Completely. It really makes me forgive those moments when he is just soooo not listening. At all. To repeated instructions.

RAS - I hope not! That's the best part about the blog. I can always look back to see those great things he said once upon a time :)

Barb - Aww, good to know they still love you at that age. Even though they've figured out the manipulation trick!

Karen - Yeah... I still like your Micah I love you story best though!

Bee and Rose - I'm actually pretty impressed with both kids -- the little girl in the store who answered her mommy correctly, and Mister Man who correctly noted that HE has the best mommy ever....

Now see, I bet that is the kind of comment that keeps you going for at least a week! LOL! Such a cutie!

Angela - Totally. And my husband thinks it's a neat story and spreads it around, too!
